Aire del Mar is ideally situated for viewing of the Great White Sharks. Only 2 hours drive from Cape Town, Aire del Mar is in the quiet and small seaside resort of Kleinbaai, near Gansbaai. From your room you can see Dyer Island and the harbour from where the boats leave for shark cage diving and whale watching. The harbour is walking distance from Aire del Mar.

Five Spacious Luxury Rooms (first floor of building), all with en suite bath rooms and balconies. From your room you have a spectacular unspoilt panoramic view over the bay of Dyer Island - world famous for its shark alley! All luxury rooms are equipped with satellite TV, wall heater, kettle (with coffee and tea) and a wall safe for your valuables. You start your day with a healthy breakfast and towards the end of the day you can enjoy sundowners from your own balcony or in our fully licensed bar.
Three Self-Catering Studios (ground floor of building), with sea view and en suite bathrooms. They are equipped with a fridge and microwave and utensils to prepare a light meal.
The area has much to offer to fill your days of stay: shark viewing, whale watching (In Season) and bird watching, 4x4 trips up the mountain, a golf course, kayaking, cave exploring and fishing from the shore or a chartered boat. Kleinbaai offers kilometres of coast line for pleasant walks in the "fynbos" (natural coastal vegetation). We can also assist you in planning of excursions to nearby Danger Point light house, Elim missionary station, Cape L'Agulhas (the southern most point of Africa), birding and lots more.

Directions from Cape Town / Hermanus
N2 direction George – 60 km to Hermanus turn-off [R43]. Travel through Hermanus and Stanford – 40 km to Gansbaai.
Enter Gansbaai in Main Road. Travel straight through Gansbaai, crossing four 4-way stops, and at the fifth stop [about 800 meters out of Gansbaai] turn RIGHT towards Kleinbaai - Travel for 2.8 km until you reach a stop sign in Kleinbaai. Turn left in Van Dyk Street [first tarred road to your left] and drive for about 1.5 km until you reach no 77 Van Dyk Street [Aire del Mar Guest House] on your left.
Directions from the Garden Route / N2
N2 direction Cape Town – Stanford/Hermanus turn-off is 10 km after Riviersonderend [R326] – 60 km to Stanford.  At T-junction in Stanford, turn left – 20 km to Gansbaai. Further as above.
